Green Gardening

The maintaining of an outdoor space can require the use of synthetic chemicals and powered machinery. It is the aim of my business to lower its carbon footprint and impact on the environment by reducing the use of machinery and use of chemicals as much as economically possible. For example; Did you know, it requires 1 tonne of oil and 108 tonnes of water to produce 1 tonne of Synthetic Fertiliser?!

I take an advisory role, recommending the use of organic fertilisers and other mediums, home composting and integrated pest management with a move towards permaculture.

 Tree Planting

This year a tree planting scheme was started in order to 'offset' the carbon footprint of the business.

10 Trees were planted in dedication to my customer base at the end of the growing season of 2010 with 'Trees for Life'
